2nd chronicles 7:13-14
many times people tend to seek God's hands and not his face. This means that when things go wrong (boyfriend/girlfriend walks out) all of a sudden people want to pray and ask God to fix it and bring or allow things to be back the way they were. Or when people do bad in school, money gets low, or things simply don't work out the way they wanted. That's when people want to be holy and pray and seek God. What about when things are going great? when your relationship is stable and life just seems to get better and better. Do you seek God then? Seeking God's face simply means to seek him regardless not just off of conditions. Seeking God's hands means you only seek him when you need a hand-out or a helping hand. SO DO YOU SEEK GOD'S FACE OR HIS HAND? Verse 13 "when i shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people" meaning when it seems like your not receiving blessing, when your not reaping a harvest. Is that the only time you seek God (seeking his hand) You must be consistent in season and out of season. Don't seek God based off of conditions. Re-evaluate yourself and ask yourself ARE YOU SEEKING GOD'S FACE OR HIS HAND!
